Double Room

The Mater Room takes its name from the deep connection that this property maintains with the spirituality and history of Syracuse.

Intimate and welcoming, it preserves the authentic charm of a traditional Sicilian home, featuring beautiful exposed wooden beams that create a warm and distinctive atmosphere. Its windows overlook the Gulf of Ortigia, the city of Syracuse and, on clear days, the silhouette of Mount Etna on the horizon.

Directly facing the room stands the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Tears, one of Sicily's most important pilgrimage sites and a destination for visitors from all over the world. Its distinctive teardrop-shaped architecture recalls the event that made Syracuse known to millions of devotees.

Guests share a fully equipped kitchen and a large panoramic terrace with the Eden and Sacramento rooms. A mini pool and steam room are also available by reservation and for an additional fee.
